Marianna is a freelance design-y art director and illustrator based in Los Angeles. Originally from Udine, Italy, she spent seven years in NYC after attending school in Ohio. Her interest lies in bridging the gap between digital experiences and branding, creating projects that add value, contribute to the culture, and have a positive impact on the world. Marianna's colorful illustrations aim to bring joy to people's lives. Join us as we chat with her about her journey and creative process.

A glimpse into the creative world of Marianna AKA mnfrr!
StickerApp: How would you define your style?
Marianna: Colorful, approachable, and appetizing!
StickerApp: What’s your favorite technique?
Marianna: 99% of the time I work digitally in Illustrator, using my Wacom board. I have nerve damage in my right hand, so I start with semi perfect vector shapes and use the smooth tool to make them more organic and match what I see in my head.
StickerApp: Who or what is your biggest inspiration/s?
Marianna: Food, community, sharing a meal, breaking bread, colors, flowers, produce, the produce aisle at the grocery store on a gray Winter day!
StickerApp: How did it all start?
Marianna: I was feeling uninspired by my 9-5 tech job and needed a more personal creative outlet. At that time I was also cooking a lot and hosting dinners, it made sense for me to start drawing food!
StickerApp: Do you have a tip for those who are starting out?
Marianna: Do you, keep your work honest to what you're passionate about because then it will resonate with the right people. And have fun! If you're not having fun, let it go.
StickerApp: Favorite App or Program?
Marianna: Adobe Illustrator
StickerApp: Tips for those starting out?
Stefan: Be curious, find your balance, be persevering.
StickerApp: What's your favorite app or program?
Stefan: Procreate & Illustrator, now they are complementary to my workflow.
StickerApp: Why do you use StickerApp?
Stefan: For the ease of placing orders and the crazy quality.
StickerApp: What's your favorite material?
Stefan: Hard to choose one, maybe I would say holographic and glow in the dark for their psychedelic touch to the design!
StickerApp: How do you use stickers for your own business/personal brand?
Stefan: I use stickers to promote my work and occasionally some giveaways.
